We ate here twice and enjoyed everything we had. Cold beer and fair prices. Have a seat at the Oyster bar and meet some of the locals. If you want really cold, delicious, fresh raw oysters on the half shell, this Is the place!

Schucked right in front of you all day long. There was a line to get in before open at 11am. I would suggest getting there early, gets pretty full.

Everything we had was awesome. Great employees who are very friendly. We came for drinks one evening but no hard alcohol - so keep this in mind. Good place for a cold beer.

Warm beer-lousy food - Frenchy's Outpost

Lunch was very tasty. The burger was really good, my friends loved the oysters and they split a shrimp Po'Boy that they said was great. Not to miss - The Chowder in the bread bowl. I am still thinking about that fresh bread bowl. Only issue is service is slow. We were early for lunch, one of the 1st there and waited very long before we got our food.

We order the She Crab soup, which we had before at another one of Frenchy's restaurant. This version though was so highly spiced, that we almost called the fire department. Perhaps we had a bad day. I ordered the octopus as the main course. It was supposed to be lightly fried, but came to the table marinated, cold, rubbery and not worth the over the top price. My husband ordered the grouper reuben, which is also pricey.

He received an old pumpernickle-rye-combo-toast and a grouper piece so small, we had to open the toast to see it.

It was like the invisible grouper sandwich. We had to beg for lemon slices and thousand island dressing. In fact we had to almost asked to everything regarding condiments and water. The bathrooms were filthy and looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a while.

We won't be back there. They should have named the place Greedy Sucker. Frenchy's was the closest restaurant to the marina we were staying in after a 38 hour crossing from the panhandle. It was very crowded, but we were able to get seating at the bar. Drinks were excellent and the bartenders attentive.

We ate at the bar and lacked nothing. The grilled octopus was outstanding. Beautifully charred and very tender.

Parking lot is big and gets busy. Proximity to beach is fantastic. Stone crab is seasonally available , go for the jumbo! We recently relocated to Tampa, and have visited Honeymoon Island a couple of times.
